Stacey Pereira, MD

Dr. Stacey Pereira of Modern Ob/Gyn of North Atlanta

Dr. Stacey Pereira completed her medical school and residency training at Rush University Medical Center, one of Chicago's finest academic medical centers. She and her husband are excited to return to his hometown of Atlanta where they are closer to family and friends. Dr. Pereira's friendly and outgoing demeanor is quickly evident, and as a physician, she is dedicated to building a personal relationship with her patients. She is passionate about the joy of delivering babies through her obstetric practice, in addition to specializing in the clinical and surgical aspects of female health.

Dr. Pereira is a Brazilian-American who grew up in the Pacific Northwest and Northeastern Brazil and she is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. She received her Bachelors of Science from the University of Washington where she completed a dual major in Neurobiology and Public Health. She also rowed competitively for the University of Washington women's crew team winning a silver NCAA medal as a sophomore. Dr. Pereira has always had an interest in advancing the cause of Latina-Americans-- she held a two-year tenure as Midwest President for the National Hispanic Medical Association and played a central role in organizing multiple national and regional conferences promoting minorities in medicine.

Dr. Pereira is a passionate OB/GYN who loves the full scope of obstetrics and gynecology and is excited about helping her patients through their well-woman care, gynecologic issues, guiding them through pregnancy, and participating in the joy of delivering babies. She also specializes in minimally invasive surgery with a unique emphasis in robotics, having received extensive experience in one of America's top training hospitals. Dr. Pereira is passionate about advancing clinical and surgical women's healthcare and has been published and presented research at multiple medical society national conferences.

Dr. Pereira is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, as well as the National Hispanic Medical Association.

Modern Ob/Gyn is proud to offer three beautiful and convenient locations in Johns Creek, Cumming and Alpharetta (at Avalon) for your appointments. We provide hospital care at Emory Johns Creek Hospital and Northside Hospital-Forsyth. Expectant mothers can be reassured that with our intimate, team-based approach to obstetrics, they will be cared for by physicians and midwives familiar with their personal story and will always have confidence and comfort at the time of delivery.
